Little Rainbows is proud to be part of a national campaign to raise the standards of food in nurseries and schools that is organised by the children’s food trust called “eat better start better” and have pledged to provide healthy, balanced nutritious food that is fun and appetising. All of our food is prepared fresh daily on site and special dietary requirements are catered for. Due to this commitment we have been granted “Enhanced Health Promotion” status. This is the local council’s highest accolade for promoting health, nutrition and wellbeing.
Breakfast is served from 8.30 am and offers a wide choice of fruits, breads and cereals while our hot home cooked lunch at 11.30 is crammed with fresh meat, fish and vegetables and are enjoyed throughout the nursery by all the children.
At approximately 2.30 snack is a freshly prepared selection of savoury treats fruits & milk or water.
A light tea is served also at approximately 4.00pm which the children enjoy before going home in the evening.
